The University of the Third Age (U3A) is composed of people devoted to learning. It is a self help organisation with members participating in both the teaching and the learning processes sharing their knowledge, skills and experiences. The only qualification our members need is enthusiasm! The U3A movement is nationwide and now has (collectively) 250,000 members.
A good variety of courses is offered plus a social programme which includes general meetings with an outside speaker, monthly tea parties with a speaker, pub lunches, an annual walk, a quiz afternoon and a coffee morning and book sale.
We publish a Newsletter 3 times a year and send a monthly e-bulletin to members.
Enquiries about membership should be addressed to John Jefferis, Acting Membership Secretary on 01323 890055
